About Felicity
Performance-focused students often worry about their technical gaps during live sets. To be honest, I sometimes found the piano bench lonelier than the stage until I learned to accompany myself. My 8 years performing in NYC and on tour pushed me to master chord voicing and jazz improvisation.
I combine these skills with the BFA in Musical Theatre I earned at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Hobbyists and advanced learners appreciate how I blend classical repertoire with practical gigging skills. I prioritize hand independence and rhythm to help you play with authority.
I keep things simple. You will find that my teaching style remains grounded in the realities of being a working musician.

Pacing remains critical because I require a diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan for your progress. Every student arrives with 0 prior knowledge of my specific method.
We start by examining your current rhythm and timing before moving into complex chord structures that define your sound. Because I bring 13 years of experience to the bench, I can quickly identify where your technique needs minor adjustments. I demonstrate how classical repertoire can actually inform your modern improvisation style to build a versatile skill set. You will spend time practicing how to lead an ensemble through precise keyboard control while maintaining your musicality.
My feedback focuses on long-term growth and clarity of execution. I look forward to helping you reach the sound you envision for your future performances.
