About Erica
This spring I have finished up my Bachelor's of Science - Honours degree in Microbiology with a minor in Biology and Chemistry. I definitely prioritized my education, however I understood school is temporary, but the education I will have forever. With that being said I enjoy playing hockey, hanging out with my friends, and working on my families dairy farm in my free time. Balance is key, and I hope that I can optimize our time together to have efficient and productive sessions.

I personally found that a metacognitive approach to my studies helped me succeed. Metacognition to me meant, "thinking about what I was thinking about". I excelled when creating personal memory cues and acronyms in courses/lessons that required memorization.
In courses involving more problem solving and conceptual thinking; practice questions and applying my knowledge to a variety of contexts helped strengthen my understanding of the content.
Every student learns differently and I myself have tried a variety of study methods (flashcards, creating my own practice tests, metacognitive journal/notes etc.) At the end of the day I want to find what works best for you, and help you achieve your study goals.
I recently have finished my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Microbiology with a minor in Biology and Chemistry. My study techniques and knowledge is fresh and I can't wait to hopefully help you find both a greater understanding and increase your performance, regardless of your passion for the subjects.
