About Brenda
I hated math when I was in middle and high school. Just did not see the point. When I got to college I finally earned my first 'A' in Math. More 'A's were to follow and I developed a newfound love for math. I have been teaching and tutoring for over 13 years. I tutored my friends in College because I enjoyed it. Taught most of the Maths, but have more experience with Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Probability and Statistics. Also taught other subjects such as: Physics, Biology, Economics, Business, Entrepreneurship, and others. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, graduating with honors, and I have two Master's Degrees in Education. Very patient and have a knack for helping struggling Math students. I would love to show you the beauty of Mathematics.

I am extremely patient. I help students discover concepts through inquiry based learning. I like to use real world, relevant examples. And I like to make Math fun for my students.
What sets me apart is my ability to help even the most math phobic students and students who in the past have not been successful learning math.
I tutor with a Growth Mindset Philosophy which means I believe having the right attitude is the first step to learning to do Math.
I love Math and hope to help you, if not love math, at least be able to navigate Math and use the right tools, strategies, and methods for the job.
