About Soma
Who I am
I'm a 17-year-old student living in Leicester. I recently completed my GCSEs with strong results, and I pride myself on being methodical, patient, and detail-oriented. Outside of my studies, I really enjoy helping others, staying organised, and breaking down complex ideas into clear, approachable steps.
Why I want to teach
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy supporting younger students and watching their confidence grow. I know that school can sometimes feel overwhelming, and having a patient, encouraging tutor can make all the difference. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where primary school kids feel supported, build strong core skills in Maths and English, and develop a positive mindset towards learning.

My tutoring sessions are designed to be a calm, encouraging, and highly structured space where primary school students can build real confidence in their learning. Because every child learns at their own pace, I break down tricky subjects—whether it's primary Maths, English, or reading—into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I focus on creating a patient, friendly environment where making mistakes is welcomed as part of the learning process. Each lesson combines methodical practice with plenty of positive encouragement, helping young students master key skills, stay organised, and genuinely enjoy their progress!
