About Selah
Hi, I’m a piano tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Piano Emphasis. I teach a wide variety of pianos, including Grand, Player, Digital, Upright, Classical, Electric Keyboard, and Acoustic Piano. My lessons focus on areas such as chord theory, ear training, improvisation, and expressive musicality. I take a student-centred approach, tailoring lessons to meet the needs of both school students and adult or professional learners. Over the years, I’ve helped students progress from beginner to advanced levels, and even guided those at the professional or expert stage. I focus on building strong technique while encouraging creativity and personal expression. My teaching combines structured guidance with playful, imaginative exercises, making learning engaging and effective. I help students develop confidence, musical understanding, and the ability to perform with poise. Every lesson is designed to support growth, whether preparing for exams, performances, or personal musical goals. I am passionate about fostering a lifelong love of music. Together, we explore technique, theory, and creativity, helping students achieve both skill and artistry.
