About Gerda
"Standing in a quiet studio before my first recital, I realised how much I wanted to share the mechanics of sound. That moment defined my career as a concept-first teacher. After 7 years of work, I now balance studio time with private coaching for students who crave musical clarity.
My focus remains on sight transposition, scales and arpeggios, plus pop and contemporary styles. I also emphasise ear training, dynamics, and expression to ensure you understand the why behind the notes. It is a pleasure to guide you through this process with genuine curiosity."

"Your initial session begins by mapping out exactly what you want to play. We start there, simply and directly, so you feel progress immediately.
I create custom sheet music arrangements for the songs you choose because hearing your favourite track come to life is the best way to stay motivated. 7.0 is the specific metric I use to calibrate your technical growth, which helps us track those subtle nuances that make a performance sound professional.
You might find that we spend time deconstructing rhythm in ways you never considered. Do not worry if it feels complex at first, as we break every musical hurdle into manageable, musical steps. Expect a session that honours your taste while grounding your technique in solid theory. We work together to ensure the music stays practical and deeply audible."
