About Lawson
True confidence on the guitar comes when you stop thinking about every movement. Do you ever feel like your hands are fighting the fretboard instead of dancing with it? We solve this by breaking down strumming patterns and chord transitions into manageable, rhythmic movements. Intermediate learners and adults benefit from my Berklee training, which simplifies complex acoustic technique.
We cover songwriting as a way to express your own voice while respecting the roots of the Latin tradition. My lessons focus on the joy of making music rather than just hitting marks on a page. We build your skills so that playing feels as natural as breathing. Tuning and maintenance are also part of our routine to keep your gear in top shape.

Rhythm starts in the gut, long before your fingers touch the strings. I teach because music is an essential pulse that needs to be passed down. My Bachelor of Arts in Music from Berklee provides the technical backbone for the flamenco and Latin styles I have played for 21 years. Having worked with 308 students, I know exactly where intermediate learners or teens usually hit a wall.
Whether we are focusing on power chords, acoustic technique, or complex strumming patterns, I keep things moving with a playful spirit. I bring 7 years of experience to help you navigate reading tabs or mastering sheet music. Songwriting and chord transitions become intuitive once you understand the history behind the music. We can discuss maintenance and tuning to ensure your instrument is always ready for the stage.
