About Ethan
I love music and have played the piano and violin. However, after year 3 band auditions, I decided I wanted to play the clarinet. I definitely did not regret this decision. I have attained an LTCL (Trinity College London) and AMusA (AMEB) in the clarinet, and have played for over a decade. I did Music 2 in the HSC, attaining an Encore Nomination. I know what it takes to succeed in examinations and HSC music, and I would love to help you get there. I also compose in my free time. In addition to being an experienced clarinet tutor and volunteer in school bands, I also teach music theory. I look forward to working with you and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all.

My lessons are for all students looking to improve their skills in the clarinet. I am familiar with teaching a wide range of repertoire. I play the Bb, A, bass, and contrabass clarinets. I also have experience with the piano.
I believe that foundational skills and technique are the most important things for aspiring players to develop. However, I am also passionate about instilling a love for music at the same time.
My lessons are highly sought after, and I have experience tutoring and mentoring students from ages 10-18. I have been a private tutor for several years now and have been a regular volunteer in my local primary school's band program. However, as a recent high school graduate, I am also able to connect with my students easily and effectively, creating an ideal lesson environment.
