About Sophia
I’m Sophia, born and raised in London. I have worked in Education since graduating. I worked as an English teacher in Hong Kong for one year and have also taught in classrooms in Thailand and Ecuador. I used to work as a manager at Explore Learning - a maths and English tuition centre for children. Here, I developed my love for tutoring and coached my tutor team into exceptional tutors. I have a passion for education and truly believe every child deserves access to high-quality teaching. Every child just needs a great teacher - I want to be that person to help you achieve your true potential.

Instead, I take time to understand how you learn best - whether that’s through discussion, visual explanations, or lots of practice questions. My goal is to make each session feel encouraging and productive, not stressful or rushed. Together, we’ll identify the areas where you need the most support, build confidence step by step, and celebrate your progress along the way. I focus on creating a calm, friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s how real learning happens.
