About Ammaarah
My name is Ammaarah and I'm currently studying Psychology at the University of Sussex. For the past 3 years, I have been teaching at a popular tuition branch, Premier Learning, in South London (Brixton and Camberwell). It was my full time job and as well as tutoring students in full time education, I also spent my time teaching children who did not attend school (home educated). I can teach English to children of all ages between 3 and 16 years old (GCSE English language and literature included). I also teach Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning and have helped many children pass their entrance exams and get into the private/grammar school of their choice. Another subject I have taught is Maths (up to year 7). I have always been passionate about learning and I like to portray this in my teaching, involving the children in an interactive style of learning. I studied psychology as an A-Level and I'm currently studying it at university; one of the topics being the psychology of education and learning. Studying these modules has helped me to understand the importance of keeping students motivated and entertained whilst teaching. Through this I have developed my own expressive style of tutoring which my students seemed to enjoy thoroughly.
