About Jason
As you can see, my name is Jason and I'm originally from the United States. I'm now thirty years old, and from ages 12-25, I was a regular entrant in street-style skateboarding competitions (street-style = rails, stairs, gaps, ledges, etc.) in both the US and UK, where I have also taken on coaching roles for advanced level skaters. Skateboarding is an ultimate passion of mine, and sharing my skills, expertise, and knowledge on the sport, is something I will do for as long as my legs allow!

It probably doesn't come as a surprise that I love skateboarding! And while my days of competitions and sponsorships are behind me, that passion for the sport remains; and is something I love to share with others! As the title suggests, I have given lessons to a range of people in terms of age and skill level. My teaching techniques involve gaining an understanding of simple balance dynamics, understanding why the board does 'this' when 'that' happens, and of course, a tailored approach instructing proper forms, techniques, and habits to embrace or abandon. Lessons typically last about an hour, and for each pupil, I will always try to leave them with 'homework', so to speak, to work on before the next meet. And you would really be surprised by how quickly milestones can be achieved! The venue can be virtually anywhere that is: dry, reasonably flat (and smooth, ideally), and relatively spacious. This could include some garages, a quiet car park, or anything of the like. However, I am also happy to arrange lessons at a skatepark that's local to you; or whatever venue you feel most comfortable at!
