About Elise
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with over 11 years of playing and teaching experience. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies, which shaped my technical depth and musical understanding. My background is strongly rooted in world music traditions. I teach styles such as Flamenco, Bossa Nova, Indian Classical Fusion, and African fingerstyle. These genres help students experience rhythm, melody, and expression beyond standard approaches. I introduce learners to rhythmic diversity through clapping, groove studies, and structured listening. Students also explore alternate tunings to unlock new tonal colors. Cross-cultural learning is central to my teaching philosophy. I encourage respect and curiosity for global musical heritage. Lessons are adapted to each student’s level and musical goals. Creativity and technique grow together. Beginners feel supported and confident. Advanced players expand their musical language. I adapt my teaching pace to suit beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. Technique and expression are always balanced. I support serious learners in refining accuracy and musical depth.
