About Mitch
Serious musicians often assume that playing by ear is a gift rather than a structured craft to be learned. I work with students who want to build a foundation through blues progressions and scales and modes to gain true fretboard command. Having earned my Bachelor of Music from the Curtis Institute of Music, I emphasize music theory and reading tabs as essential tools for any player.
My 13 years of instruction and studio time help me guide you through everything from ear training to essential tuning and maintenance for your instrument. I prefer keeping my approach technical and grounded because real growth is something you can hear.

Clean, ringing chords begin to echo through the room as your fingers find their exact placement on the fretboard. You will spend 10.0 hours monthly reviewing recorded progress to ensure every nuance of your technique is refined and accurate.
My method relies on the formal training I received at the Curtis Institute of Music to break down complex solos into manageable sections. We balance reading sheet music with practical lead guitar techniques to build your confidence and your unique sound. I focus on keeping our time together musical and straightforward to ensure you remain engaged during our work.
