My Approach as a Tutor
As a certified teacher and experienced pianist, I combine structured instruction with flexibility to match each student’s learning style and goals.
Teaching Method & Techniques:
I use a gradual release model (“I do, we do, you do”), modeling skills, guiding practice, and supporting independent work. I focus on fundamentals such as technique, music reading, and rhythm, while encouraging creativity and expression.
Typical Lesson Structure:
Warm-ups and technique practice
Review of previous material
New concepts or pieces
Guided practice with feedback
Independent practice and goal-setting
What Sets Me Apart:
My background in education and passion for music help me adapt lessons for diverse learners, build strong relationships, and create a positive, encouraging environment.
Who My Lessons Are For:
I work best with beginner to intermediate students, especially children and early learners, but I welcome students of all ages seeking to build skills, confidence, and a love for music.
