About Maria
Focusing on the student rather than the syllabus is the only way to ensure growth. Effective singing often requires a student to stop trying to sound like someone else. I use my University of Toronto degree to offer technical exercises that address stage fear management directly.
We build performance confidence through sight singing and careful attention to phrasing. My 13 years of experience allow me to identify vocal range extension opportunities that are physically safe. Absolute beginners and advanced adults receive the same rigor regarding rhythm and diction. We will prepare your voice for the stage.

Your voice requires a specific architecture that connects your breath to your internal ear. During my 13 years of performing with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, I have learned that stage fear management is as vital as vocal range extension. Having mentored 116 students, I lean into the ORFF and Kodály methodology to simplify complex rhythm and phrasing. My Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music ensures that every student, from absolute beginners to performance-focused professionals, understands the mechanics of belting and articulation.
We often spend time on diction because clarity is the primary vehicle for emotion. This work is demanding but yields results that last a lifetime.
