About Ava
Teaching vocalists remains my primary focus. I prioritise clarity and movement.
After 7 years performing with the Royal Philharmonic, I transitioned into private instruction for kids and adults who crave structure. Singing requires precise adjustments to your posture and airflow for the best results. Fun begins when your body finally stops fighting the music.
You will receive a diagnostic vocal assessment during your first visit to establish a clear roadmap for your progress. We incorporate sight singing and rhythm work into every hour to build your musicianship. My background from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire informs how I approach belting technique, diction, and genre styling. Students often struggle with pitch control until we address the foundational habits of the throat and ribcage.
I ensure your warm-up exercises provide the stability needed for pop or classical repertoire. Developing phrasing is an essential part of the journey towards musical independence. Seeing a student finally understand their own instrument after years of confusion is the best part of the process.
