I’m an older person and wanted to learn bass guitar. I took 2 years of lessons and did learn the bass lines to a few songs. Nothing about scales, timing, or rhythm. I decided to make a change and go to Phil for lessons. Phil took the time to listen to what I wanted from music and what my goal is. Phil takes the time to listen and advise how to meet those goals. I have learned more in the past 4 months with Phil than the past two years combined. I now understand music, scales, and timing, all because of Phil’s knowledge, experience, patience, and understanding. My goal of playing in a band looks more real to me now. I just wish I had met Phil two years ago. I highly recommend Phil; he is a great teacher and has so much knowledge to pass on to his students. Besides all that, the dude can play.
