About Teresa
I'm an enthusiastic, experienced piano and music theory / Mandarin teacher (full DBS checked) who lived in Worcester for more than 3 years.
Apart from classical music, I'm into Jazz and Modern music, also played in a band, performed in festivals/concerts.

Able to teach complete beginner or advance students. My teaching methods combine traditional and modern. Students will have a lot of fun while having proper foundational music knowledge. These include
hearing / singing / reading / playing, all together.
My aim in teaching is to inspire students to become as involved in music as they possibly can and find an interest in it that will stay with them forever. I am a musician who works well with all ages, from 4 years of age upwards to retiring age, my oldest student is 78. Friendly and patient (you need a lot of patience to be a good teacher!!)
A lot of students come to me after passing grade 3 exams, found it difficult to continue, I will ask them the same questions :
Can you read music (sight reading)?
Do you have a perfect pitch?
Can you sing while you play?
If the answers are no, you didn't have a good music foundation. While you may pass some grades, you will struggle to continue.
My strength is classical but can teach jazz and pop as well. I can also accompany for performances and ABRSM / Trinity exams for all instruments. I can teach piano for leisure or focus on graded studies.
100% success rate in ABRSM exams,80% of my pupils achieving either merit or distinction.

Perfect! I have had multiple lessons with Teresa, and she has proven herself to be an exceptional piano teacher. She has a perfect ear and is very technically proficient. She has managed to identify my weaknesses and works with me at a manageable pace to overcome them. I look forward to my future lessons with her.
