  • 1. More about your subject. How did you come to be interested in this area of study?

    Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a child. I have always been fascinated by the wholistic philosophy of yoga, which not only makes the body strong but also nourishes the mind and spirit. My deep interest prompted me to do an M.A. in Yogic Science, and ever since then, I have been practicing and teaching yoga as a profession.
  • 2. What or whom is the inspiration behind you becoming a teacher & why?

    The life-changing potential of yoga has always been my greatest inspiration. Seeing the changes for the better in my own life, I felt a deep sense of calling to pass along this knowledge to others. Teaching enables me to assist others in achieving balance, enhancing their health, and developing inner peace, which is really rewarding.
  • 3. In what way does your work benefit society?

    Yoga is far more than exercise-its a lifestyle that encourages mental health, emotional strength, and spiritual awareness. Through my classes, I assist in helping others cope with stress, increase flexibility, and lead a better overall lifestyle. I also integrate mindfulness and breathing exercises that help lower anxiety and enhance mental acuteness.
  • 4. If you had to imagine a role model for your work, who comes to mind & why?

    I have immense respect for T. Krishnamacharya, the grandfather of contemporary yoga. His commitment to keeping traditional yogic practices alive and evolving while making them accessible to individuals of all ages and backgrounds has been a source of inspiration for my own teaching style.
  • 5. Describe your hobbies outside of teaching.

    Outside of yoga, I like to walk in nature, read spiritual literature, and meditate. I also love to travel and experience other cultures, which has deepened my knowledge of various yogic traditions.
  • 6. Do you have an anecdote to share with us about your student or professional life?

    My favorite memory is from teaching a student who, at first, was challenged by flexibility and focus. Through repetition and persistence, not only did she get better physically, but she also developed an inner sense of confidence and tranquility that reflected into her daily life. Witnessing the change strengthened my faith in yoga's power and ability to influence people's lives. I've also included some photos of my practice and teaching sessions, as asked.
