About Meadow
Hello! I am Ms. Miyazaki, and I am excited to connect with families across the US to build the foundations of reading and math for their student, or you!
I currently live in Southwest Florida with my dog, Bodie, named after one of my students from my first class. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, crafting, and playing video games in my spare time. I graduated from FSW in 2023 at the age of 21 and have been ranked as a "Highly Effective" teacher in my county since becoming an educator.
Even though I am young, I use my youth as an advantage to connect with students who typically go against authority, or who do not tend to connect with mentors or teachers. My lessons are designed for Elementary and Middle school ELA and Math students. My teaching has been rated "Highly Effective" as a certified Florida educator since 2023 and I am excited to bring my engaging techniques to new students. A typical lesson begins with a spiral review of the previous lesson or skill learned, one-on-one practice, and a short exit ticket at the end of each lesson to assess for understanding.
I enjoy fostering a safe and comfortable environment for students and families. Relationship building is a key aspect of learning that is often overlooked by others, whereas I embrace it. In 2025, I was nominated for the Teacher of the Year award of my school for my outstanding connections with my students and parents and I believe it has greatly influenced my success as a teacher.
