About Johnetta
Diction, articulation, stage fear management, vocal range extension, vibrato control, sight singing, harmony singing, performance confidence, rhythm, phrasing, head voice, chest voice, and exam preparation comprise my core toolkit. Truthfully, I still get butterflies before stepping onto a stage myself, which helps me empathize with your journey. Having spent 3 years refining my craft, I use my MMus Vocal Studies from Sydney Conservatorium of Music to ensure you build solid technique while keeping the music fun. I promise to keep our sessions grounded in the joy of singing while we work through the technical hurdles together.

"Singing is fundamentally a physical act that engages the whole body. I provide free access to my breathing and warm-up exercise notes for you to use between our 8 sessions.
We explore the mechanics of your voice by balancing head and chest registers, ensuring you feel secure in your range. During our time, I apply the pedagogical insights from my MMus Vocal Studies degree to fix rhythm or phrasing issues on the spot.
Because I have 3 years of teaching experience, I can identify where you might be holding tension and help you release it through guided exercises. We might even look at some sight singing or harmony work if that interests you. You are welcome to reach out if you have questions about the material. Let us prepare your voice to feel stage ready."
