About Gerald
Sitting down for a session feels like opening a conversation where the guitar does most of the talking, especially when we tackle power chords or acoustic technique. I often find myself explaining how a specific chord transition fits into a larger songwriting project right in the middle of our practice. Teens and adults benefit from my Bachelor of Arts degree as I incorporate reading tabs and sheet music into our sessions. It is quite common for me to demonstrate a rhythmic strumming pattern before we adjust your posture for better resonance.
I enjoy showing students how to care for their instruments through regular tuning and maintenance. My approach emphasizes the feeling of the music rather than just the mechanics of the notes.
