About Amelie
Music Theory can be daunting, especially for beginners, but the knowledge acquired creates a newfound appreciation for music as a whole. It can speed up growth in practical piano playing as the student will be able to understand how the piece they are playing actually works! I believe that learning Music Theory should be fun - I am determined to making the challenging content accessible and exciting for young musicians. I have studied for and sat 4 exams with the accredited ABRSM - completing all 4 Grades with Distinctions and high honors. I am qualified to teach earlier grades, and introduce aspiring musicians to the world of Music Theory.

Learning Music Theory is often underestimated - the content is challenging and is no easy feat. Being a slower-paced learner myself, I understand the need for supportive and shame-free approaches to tutoring - it takes students different amounts of times to grasp certain topics. Lessons would be led to prepare for the ABRSM Music Theory exams, helping young musicians learn about where the music they hear comes from and how it is made. Each lesson would build upon the last, broadening and deepening their knowledge of Music.
