About Oscar
I'm an enthusiastic 18-year-old jazz pianist in my last year of A levels with experience gigging, tutoring other young musicians and composition. As a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO), I have developed many skills that I am eager to teach aspiring musicians who want to develop their skills in music theory and jazz harmony. I have taught parts of the A level syllabus at my school, which I found really rewarding, and inspired me to pursue teaching more.

Online sessions with me will focus on internalising key harmonic concepts that will make you a far more confident and creative musician! While having a special focus on jazz, lessons will be tailored to your specific musical goals and open to all ages and experience levels! My aim is that everyone can find musical concepts, which I find wonderful, wonderful too! There is so much joy in the patterns, simple and obscure, that can be found in music and I hope to make them accessible and enjoyable for everyone who wants to learn! Sessions with me are usually 30 minutes, although this is flexible!

Great tutor! He was very kind and passionate about teaching jazz theory. One of the best teachers I've come across here, on the planet earth.
Oscar is an exceptional, 100% trustworthy music theory teacher. He is incredibly talented and his lessons are always great fun—wrapped up in a wonderfully eccentric style that makes learning memorable. Highly recommend!
