My typical lessons start with a quick debrief or warm-up, typically of the subject learned from the previous class or from the student's homework that is given by the teacher in charge. Afterwards, we tend to start a small discussion on a topic which relates to the lesson that is taught that day. Leading from the end of the discussion, we start the lesson. Once the lesson is concluded, we do activities which differ by the age range. We often repeat these lesson plans multiple times a month with different levels of workload and material within the given age range.
As a tutor, it is my job to encourage the student's own critical thinking process, to answer questions and understand the material. My lessons are for students in need of assistance in English Literature and Language, or for students wishing to advance their reading levels and writing proficiency.
