About Catarina
After many years of explaining while I was in high school, I decided to enter a degree in basic education. That said, this year I finished my masters in the 1st cycle of basic education and mathematics and natural sciences in the 2nd cycle.

With experience in active methodologies that place the student at the center of the teaching-learning process, I strongly believe that children are not merely recipients of the content that the teacher intends to transmit. The teaching-learning process thus constitutes a close relationship between the teacher and the student who work together to achieve a common goal. In this way, I intend to be a support for the child not only in the acquisition of new knowledge, but also in his greatest difficulties, starting by diagnosing them. I also give priority to problem solving, starting with concrete examples and then moving on to the abstract.
