About Patricia
Hi there! My name is Patricia and I am currently a 3rd year University Undergraduate Student studying Kinesiology and Health Science at York University. I have always been an eager learner and enjoy sharing my knowledge and giving advice to students! Whether it be in a classroom, in a dance studio, on a soccer field, or in the outdoors at summer camp, inspiring and motivating youth is my passion. I have been a Supply Teacher, and Tutor in the York Catholic District School Board, a dance teacher, and a summer camp assistant unit head, which have contributed to developing my skills as an educator. I am willing to help any student achieve their goals in school, even if it may seem impossible. I am here to help and inspire you every step of the way!

Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and continues to be as I plan on becoming a High School science/gym teacher. I have taught students from the age of 3-14 and enjoy being apart of many students learning journey. I am very patient, understanding and adaptive as every student learns at a different pace, with different learning strategy needs. I am very empathetic and understanding, as it can be very challenging to grasp/learn different concepts which may not be familiar. Organization is a quality I believe is very important as a tutor in order to track a students progress, create learning plans, and ensure tutoring sessions are productive. My main goal as a tutor is to create a positive and effective learning experience where the student feels confident and inspired to share their knowledge!
