In my time teaching first grade in the public school setting I have gotten the opportunity to work with students of all different backgrounds, including SPED and ESOL. I enjoy getting to know my students and their interests to help make learning fun and engaging.

I am trained in OG-IMSE and LETRS to help students master phonetic skills to decode, encode, and comprehend words. Students will practice phonics, spelling, and syllabication of words. Comprehension of text is practiced using fiction and nonfiction based decodable readers.
