Hi, I'm Daisy. I'm currently studying Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield and have a strong academic background in science and maths. I'm passionate about helping others understand and enjoy learning, with experience tutoring maths in secondary school. I'm patient, friendly, and always aim to tailor my teaching to each student's individual needs and learning style. The way Biology exams are written is predominantly about recall. I believe the fundamental key to recall is a solid foundation of understanding, rather than just learning facts. I will work with the students once a week, for approx. 60 minutes to explain, visualise and develop ways to understand and remember topics they struggle with. I will use verbal explanations, visualisation techniques/analogies, active recall and practice questions. There may be a little bit of extra/prep work to do between sessions. These lessons are for students in year 7-11, teaching KS3 and GCSE curriculum.
