About Sophia
As a student who used to struggle with writing, I understand how hard it is. I understand how you could be assigned something you have no passion for, or how tedious it can be. Not only am I here to help you with your skills, I'll also be here to listen.
Completing a work, whether fiction or analytical, is hard work. However, when one looks at their finished product and is happy with how their thoughts are conveyed to paper, is a euphoric feeling. Being able to help with that is a joy and honor.
I too am a student and am very aware of how things are graded. I've earned my high school diploma and working for my associates degree at Bard College, a liberal arts school with a heavy focus on writing. I also write fiction in my free time.

First, I'll ask about their assignment/project. I'll ask what they like to write about, and how they would like to convey the message. If possible, I'd ask for past works and any grades or comments that were given for those things, if the student is comfortable, to get a feel for their writing style. After, I'll ask what they want to work on.
