About Maddie
Hi! I'm Maddie, a 4th year Medical student at a Russell Group University. I teach biology for both GCSE and A-level students. Biology was my favourite subject at school, where I received a 9 at GCSE and A* at A-level, and I am keen to inspire both interest and proficiency in the subject. I have a passion for teaching; I teach English to non-native speaking adults at my university, and I have experience teaching children in various capacities. My experience means I can meet my tutees at whatever stage they are at the moment, and I look forward to meeting you!

As a visual learner myself, I like to virtually draw out concepts and use methods like mind maps and 'blurting' at the end of a lesson to ensure full comprehension, as well as asking the student to recap their understanding to me. I set a small task to do between sessions, something that is not time consuming but will solidify what has been covered. Lessons would be held online and last for an hour each.
