About Ousama
started making music at 14 on my mom's second-hand laptop, teaching myself production one YouTube rabbit hole at a time. I didn't have a studio or a mentor or a budget. I just had an idea of what I wanted to make and a stubborn refusal to stop until it sounded right. Everything I know, I learned by doing it, getting it wrong, and doing it again.
That kid eventually became a working producer with over ten years of experience and around 250,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Along the way I've written and produced full albums and singles, performed independently across multiple countries, and handled every part of the process myself, from the production and lyrics to the artwork, the rollout, and the release strategy. I've also spent time at Abbey Road Studios on residency and apprenticed at The Qube in London, which taught me how the professional side of the industry actually works.
And I did all of it while juggling an academic career, which means I understand discipline, structure, and how to keep building something serious even when life is pulling you in ten directions.
I work fluently across Ableton Live, FL Studio, and Pro Tools, and I'm as comfortable with hardware as I am in the box. I write lyrics as well as produce, so if you're an artist trying to put a whole song together rather than just a beat, I can help with all of it.
What I care about most as a teacher is the full picture. Anyone can show you which buttons to press. I want to help you find your sound, finish your tracks, and actually release music that connects with people. I've taught students from total beginners to intermediate producers, and several have gone on to release their own projects and build their own audiences. That's the part I'm proudest of.
I teach in Melbourne and online. If you're serious about making music, I'd love to help you get there. I've been where you're starting, and I know the way.

Every lesson is project-based. Whether you come in with an idea you want to finish, a track that's stuck, or a blank Ableton session, we work on real music (yours) and I show you the techniques as they apply to what you're actually trying to make. I've spent over a decade producing and releasing music professionally, including a residency at Abbey Road Studios and time apprenticing at The Qube in London, and the workflows I teach are the same ones I use on my own releases (which currently amassed around 250,000 streams on Spotify).
We'll cover whatever you need: Ableton fundamentals, mixing, sound design, arrangement, vocal processing, sample manipulation, complex routing, working with hardware, or the parts most tutorials skip. That last one matters most...How to finish tracks. How to develop a sound that's actually yours. How to release music in a way that finds an audience. Happy to adapt to whatever environment you're already comfortable in.
Lesson length: Standard sessions are 60 minutes. For project deep dives like finishing a track, mixing a release, or working through a full arrangement, 90 minutes works much better and we'll usually get more done than two 60-minute sessions.
Who this is for: Anyone serious about making music, from total beginners who've never opened a DAW to intermediate producers who want to level up their sound. I've taught students who've gone on to release their own projects and build their own audiences, and I take that responsibility seriously. The only thing I ask is that you actually want to do the work between sessions. This is craft, not magic.
I'm calm, patient, and easy to work with. I won't talk down to you, and I won't pretend things are simple when they're not. If you want to learn how to actually make and release music, I can help.
