About Abby
My name is Abby, I’m a published writer, avid reader, poet, activist, artist, and a lover of all things creative. I am a graduate of North Central College where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in writing. I’m a complete and utter dork when it comes to anything literary. I’d love to channel my passion for this field into helping others find success. Specific strengths include: spelling, grammar, literary analysis, prose, poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, speech writing, script writing, essay writing, editing, personal narrative, annotations, MLA bibliographies, lyric analysis, story structure, formatting writing for social media, and résumés. Do you devour every book you can get your hands on? Geek out over literary analysis? Want nothing more than to write poignant pieces of your own? Me too! I’m a writer with over a decade of experience and a degree, I’ll spill all of my secrets! Let’s work together! No matter your skill level, I’d love to help you conquer all things literary. As a poet, I can train you to write poems of your own! As a scholar, I can help you craft a thoughtful essay! As a reader, I can help you analyze whatever text you’re working with! I absolutely love what I do and nothing makes me happier than using my knowledge to help others fall in love with (or at least tolerate) the magic of words. To work with me, please identify what you want to focus on in our session and bring any related materials. If you have a broader idea of what you want to focus on, we can meet and I’ll develop a personalized lesson plan for your needs.
