About Demi
Hello! My name is Demi. Some of my interests are crafting music and being outside. I love animals, and my favorite subject is science. I believe that every one of my students has the chance to do amazing things. I rely on incentives instead of consequences. That means I believe you should be rewarded for doing good things, not punished for doing bad. I am patient and I adapt easily to your needs. I have always been interested in my students' opinions, and I believe communication is important. If something isn't working as well as it could or if you have a suggestion on how I can best help you, I encourage you to tell me because I am always prepared to adapt to individual accommodations.

I believe each student is different. One student may need another approach from another. I like to remember that fair does not always mean equal. Fair is providing the student with the resources to succeed, and accommodations vary. I am prepared for setbacks, especially working with a child who may be cognitively impaired. I quickly recognize the warning signs of dysregulation. I can gently approach a delicate situation. I believe students should be incentivized for good behavior, and I go above and beyond to make a child's session not only beneficial academically but enjoyable for the child.
