As a tutor, my approach is to make math concepts understandable and relatable. Taking Algebra 2 in 8th grade gave me a strong foundation and unique perspective that helped me connect with students who will do that eventually.
When sharing knowledge, I focus on creating an interactive environment. Rather than just providing answers, encourage critical thinking. For instance, I might use step-by-step problem-solving to show how to solve a problem and why each step is necessary. This way, students gain the confidence to tackle similar problems independently. I also tailor my teaching style to the student’s needs. Whether a learner thrives on visual aids, hands-on practice, or detailed discussions, I adapt to ensure they remain engaged.
