About Darren
I have been a professor for 20 years and a medicinal biochemical researcher for 25 years. I have taught classes in chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, biology, molecular biology, immunology, virology, medicine and a wide range of other areas. Through these classes, I have worked one-on-one with over 2500 students as they have gained mastery in their coursers. Several of my students have earned prestigious awards like the Goldwater Fellowship and the National Science Foundation's pre-doctoral fellowships. All of the students with whom I have worked and have worked diligently with me have been able to improve their grades, develop confidence, and work to meet their career aspirations.

With a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Rochester, a Fellowship in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University and as a Professor for the last 20 years, I am looking to help students in high school and college excel in their coursework in the subjects of Chemistry, Biology and Biochemistry. With lessons that focus on developing a deep understanding of concepts and a mastery level of problem solving, students will become comfortable and competent with their course material. Students describe me as having a contagious enthusiasm for science, a way to make challenging courses interesting, and a method of engagement that results in long-term learning.
