About Maurice
I have taught at the university level since 2020. My courses have included technical writing, INRW (Integrated writing and reading), and English composition. I currently teach English to high school juniors as well as adjunct at a local community college. I have an MA in English and recently completed my MPH (Master of Public Health). I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. I enjoy helping others unlock their critical thinking skills.

My lessons are customized to my student's learning goals. After reviewing student needs, I determine the specific learning benchmarks that must be obtained to reach the final goal. As students reach milestones, I communicate their success, review what they've learned, what we have left to learn and the plan to reach the finish line. I iterate this plan with the student until the goal is obtained.
