About Malikah
Hi! My name is Malikah McHerrin-Cobb, I am an American Actor who has been living in the UK for 4 years going on 5. Originally from a massive family of 10 other siblings, I love making new connections. Acting is hard. I won't lie to you. It takes a lot of skill, technique, and understanding of self to get an ounce of truth out, whether that be on stage or screen. I wish that there were more people out there telling artists just how complicated it all is. Instead of waiting for that person, I have decided to become that person for YOU. I don’t want you flailing around your wings, waiting for things to happen to you. This career is all about taking initiative and being proactive and we are going to take back the control and get you focused on the things that can help you get that callback, or job. Rather than all the other things that can distract the artist from their creativity. I’d love to zero in with you and get you on the road to where you are going or help you stay on track with what you’re already doing. It takes a team, and unfortunately as an actor, there is no “I” in team, or in acting, even though this is a lonely road.

Qualifications M.A. grad of Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2023), B.F.A grad of Savannah College of Art and Design (2016), The Barrow Group (2020), and Stella Adler Conservatory (2020). Nominated Best Actress by Broadway World (2018). (Resume available upon request) Technique based in Stanislavski (the father of acting) which includes: - scene study - body awareness - physical action - character development - emotional sensory - script analysis Lesson Times: 30 mins - Help with an audition, quick script analysis, or review of materials. 60 mins - Help with scene study, detailed script analysis, working on the text with in-depth feedback. 90 mins - Help with artistry and craft, personal development, discipline, scene work with time for feeling it through, thorough attention to the artist and their imagination. Who is this for? Beginning Actors interested in learning foundation first, and growing in their knowledge of acting and the craft. Intermediate/Experienced Actors interested in becoming professional, pushing their limits, growing in developing a technique or process that can help them develop their artistry. Professional/Working Actors interested in refining their work, playing with text, continuing the discovery of character development and beyond.
