About Siyi
Hi, so happy to meet you! This is Siyi. I am a humanities student who loves essay-writing. I think of essay writing as a good way to think through a topic, and then express it. Essay-writing has helped me become a more aware, critical and creative person. I hope to share the joy of writing with you, and in the process help you become a better thinker and writer yourself, and of course, reach your essay-writing goals!

Method:
I believe that essay writing is fundamentally about thinking through a topic, and then expressing your thoughts well. I do not introduce to students fixed framework for writing. Instead, I invite students to think together with me, do the necessary research to critically think through issues. Then, when writing starts, I aim to help students write an essay that is argumentative rather than descriptive, has a good structure, is coherent throughout and demonstrates a critical spirit. In this process, I hope to help students become better thinkers and writers, and better able to engage with any writing topics.
Experiences:
I achieved first-class mark for all essays I have sumbitted in University. I was also the winner of Undergraduate Scholarship for Excellence in the Faculty of Humanities in UCL in Year One, and many subsequent scholarship. Experienced in helping students with their essays.
Audience:
I can fit my lesson to your essay-writing goals and needs. I welcome secondary school humanities studies, students doing six-form as well as undergraduate students.
