Hi, I’m Jacob. I am an applied economics and business professional with a Master of Science in Applied Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Business. My background includes economics, statistics, business research, Excel-based analysis, professional writing, and explaining complex information in clear, practical language.
I have over 14 years of professional experience in structured, detail-oriented environments where accuracy, organization, documentation, and communication matter. That experience has helped me develop a calm and methodical teaching style. I enjoy helping students slow down confusing material, understand the logic behind it, and build confidence step by step.
I specialize in helping college students, adult learners, online students, and working professionals with economics, introductory statistics, Excel, business concepts, research assignments, and clear written communication. My goal is to make difficult subjects feel manageable, not intimidating.

Hi, I’m Jacob. My tutoring style is patient, practical, and step-by-step. I know economics, statistics, Excel, and business assignments can feel overwhelming when a class moves too fast or the explanation is too technical. My goal is to slow the material down, explain it in plain English, and help you understand not only what to do, but why you are doing it.
In a typical lesson, we begin by looking at the problem, assignment, or topic that is causing trouble. From there, I identify the missing concept, explain it clearly, walk through examples, and then help you practice the same process yourself. I want students to leave each lesson with a clearer understanding and a repeatable method they can use later.
For economics and statistics, I focus on concepts, formulas, interpretation, and problem-solving logic. For Excel, I can help with formulas, filters, pivot tables, charts, summary tables, and practical spreadsheet organization. For business writing and research assignments, I help students organize ideas, clarify arguments, improve structure, and explain their thinking professionally.
My lessons are best for college students, adult learners, business students, online students, and working professionals who want calm, clear, nonjudgmental help. I do not complete assignments for students, but I help students understand the material, review their work, and build confidence.
