About Nicole
I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and have extensive graduate-level training in econometrics, statistics, probability, and quantitative analysis. I have also served as a university teaching assistant for econometrics, where I helped students understand both the theoretical and applied sides of the subject.
My graduate research required me to apply econometric methods to real-world data, and I completed my graduate thesis using STATA for data management, statistical analysis, econometric modeling, and interpretation of results. My professional background also involves using data and quantitative analysis to support business decision-making.
I focus on making technical material approachable and helping students understand how statistical methods, software, and real-world interpretation fit together.

I help students make sense of econometrics by connecting the statistics, economic theory, equations, and real-world interpretation behind each method. Rather than memorizing formulas or software commands, we focus on understanding why a method is being used, what the results mean, and how to explain those results clearly.
A typical lesson begins with the concept, assignment, dataset, or exam material you are currently working on. We identify where the difficulty begins, review the underlying theory, work through examples together, and practice applying the same reasoning independently.
I can help with probability, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, coefficient interpretation, statistical significance, model specification, dummy variables, transformations, econometric assumptions, and interpreting statistical output. I also have extensive experience using STATA and can help students understand both how to conduct an analysis in STATA and how to interpret the resulting output.
These lessons are especially suited for undergraduate and graduate students studying econometrics, economics, business, statistics, or other quantitatively focused subjects.
