About Shay
I am a second year at the University of Edinburgh. Reading comprehension and writing are my strong suits in English. I have tutored kids age 7-18 in reading and writing back in the United States. I mainly focused on grammar for younger kids and helped with essay writings for university for high school students while also tutoring them in the SATs and ACTs (university entrance tests in the US).

My teaching methodology depends on the area the student is having the most trouble with. If the student is younger, I tend to focus more on grammar in order to build the necessary foundation they need to writing properly. If the student is older and needs help with essay writing, I help provide ideas and review outlines, drafts, and final products. I also teach them how to edit their own works.
