About Alanna
I have a bachelors degree in Painting and Art History and a masters degree in Digital Art and Design. I also have training in textile construction, print, pottery and woodwork. I currently work as an SEN teaching assistant in a secondary school and so am fully up to date with GCSE requirements. I would be delighted to assist you or your child with GCSE work or you, more specifically with drawing, painting (oil and acrylic), knitting/crochet or art history.
I can also help with essay writing at degree level, in the area of Art and Design. I was given a special commendation for my own undergraduate thesis (graduating with a 1:1) and have honed my skills of art writing as a professional artist for over ten years.

I've known Alanna for over 20 years and drawing and painting has always been a part of her life. She's a practising artist, so understands how to bring a project to fruition and ready it for the public to see. She's also a very patient and relaxed teacher, so if you're a beginner you'll find her presence reassuring. She's an expert at what she does so she'll have a lot to teach you!
Alanna showed great patience and open-mindedness in teaching Charlotte techniques and encouraging her confidence. Her relaxed attitude and technical expertise was exactly what we were looking for in a tutor and Charlotte really enjoys her classes.
