About Minako
I took a BA in Visual Communication Design at Musashino Art University Tokyo Japan and worked as a package designer before moving to the UK in 1991, where I earned her MA in Illustration at Kingston University Surrey UK. I have been a creative professional for over 20 years. Working within; printmaking, ceramics, jewellery and photography. I strongly believe in the positive energy that self-expression can bring into people’s lives and currently work extensively as an educator within art therapy-based projects and classes, to introduce and encourage people to connect with the power of creativity, and the effects it can have on the lives of people that want to improve their confidence, outlook and further achievement in life.

I've been working as a private tutor since 1992 for both groups and individuals including both children and adults. Minimum 90min lessons *Painting lessons with watercolour, acrylic painting and Japanese sumi ink *Acrylic painting on canvas lessons *Printmaking lessons: Japanese woodcut, Linocut, paper printmaking and art craft form printmaking. *Drawing lessons using pencils, colour pencils, pastels and crayons. My sessions are carefully planned and tailored to your needs. I have been teaching between the ages of 2 and 92 years old. I teach in person at clients' homes.
