CSM///RCA////FOUNDATION////BA////MA BUSINESS////MENTORING/// - Which subject(s) do you teach? Graduated from Central St. Marttin's CSM in 1996 1st Class BA Hons in Fashion with Print. 10 years University teaching experience.
I am a professional artist (MA) with more than 15 years of international career and training experience for beginners, degree students, and other artists in different techniques (oil, acrylic, watercolour, egg tempera, drawing techniques and mixed media).
I studied Architecture, then moved into Set Design for Film,TV and commercials. My practise now concentrates on painting including working on commissions (film, interiors, private clients)and encouraging creativity in my students. At present my artwork is generally figurative with work having been exhibited in The National Portrait Gallery.
My teaching method is very experiential. I leave space for your own intuitions and support them by teaching you techniques. I let you play first because by playing first your inner artist is not inhibited by the rules... Rules come later to support your inner artist and make you more objective in judging by yourself what you have created.
I'm a Fine Art graduate and practising artist with over 15 years of teaching experience to adults in FE and have run workshops for children in after school /holiday courses.

"Every artist was first an amateur". Ralph Waldo Emerson It takes 10,000 hours to be a professional - so here I am, sharing my skills and spreading some good old fashioned positivity! You're here to get results right? ....
I'm an Italian artist with more then 20 years of international experience I had the opportunity to instruct a diverse kind of people and as result I have developed a good teaching techniques and instructional methods that allowed me to educate all style and age of learners and promoted art appreciation and developed creativity.
All of my classes are specifically tailored to the interests and needs of the student or class. To that end, I will always begin by speaking directly with you, to ascertain what is is that you want to achieve and where your interests lie.
My teaching methodology is based on two important factors. First, the fundamental knowledge, techniques and practices that are necessary for all visual artists and second ability and interests of person who wants to learn and enjoy this incredible field.
First in first I will not teach you art !Because art is somthing you can experiment and understand, not something you can learn. I'll teach as a digital artist my experience, techniques and how to find your own style to do that, discipline and good methodoligy is the best to make great progress in a short time .
My teaching method is flexible as every students needs and interests will vary. Nevertheless, I aim to further a students technical skill and lateral thinking in their particular field of investigation. I am confident in offering sessions on painting, drawing, colour theory, portfolio preparation/ preparation for art school and multi-medium work.

My approach to art teaching is linked to my academic training, consisting in a combination between mastering the use of Fine Art materials and the study of old masters and contemporary artists.
I have taught graduate students Anatomical drawing and how to paint flesh I think knowing the basics of the human body and some understanding of the muscles and bones helps with painting and painting models. I will teach you how to paint flesh, exploring the variations of skin ranging from humans and other animals to fruits and vegetables.
My method of teaching is very informative and every student will understand how to draw and the different ways you can draw, Real life, cartoon, painting will all be taught.
My teaching method will be different for online and face to face teaching, if you are live in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia i can teach you face to face and if you are outside Addis Ababa i will teach you online in my Facebook page called "habesha pencil drawing room" and i will also Email you some material on your email address
I believe everyone can draw if they are only being explained the necessary basics. Drawing and painting is suppose to be relaxing and enjoyable so I think the most efficient way to learn how to do it is by practical learning with the theory in the background to show the right direction. I will teach you the mathematical basics, perspective, shadowing etc.
I base my classes on the individual student. Focusing mostly on their interests and strengths. Whether it is a class/group or private tuition each student gets one on one attention. Although my training is based on the Sight-Size technique my teaching covers a variety of techniques, approaches, mediums etc... ensuring the student is given the best guidance and covers a variety of methods and ideas.
I am a firm believer that learning should be fun as this is how one is most able to retain information. I like to use a very hands-on approach allowing the student to work things out on their own first and talk about any issues or misunderstandings once they have tried. Discussion is key! I believe this is the best way to create a sense of initiative and pro-activity.
I think anyone who wants to learn how to learn how to sketch and create their own work should do it in his own style.
My classes are tailor made to the individual/s that I am teaching. I have an ability to enrich and see skills that are already present in the student and attentively teach new skills. I have the ability to teach any age group.
My teaching method is based on my own experience, years in art school college and university with the challenge of finding my own style. I am focused on encouraging and building individual strengths and helping the students tap into their own capabilities.
I wish to teach you based on your own interest as a student can only learn by him/herself if he/she wish to. I learned this in a hard way from the Chinese educational system I grew up from. Depending on the age and the student's progress with work, I will add a different degree of interactive ways of study.
Teaching while having fun. Explain theory but leaving the oerson free to express himself. More practise than talking! Different techniques and medium.
My teaching is to motivate and give confidence to the learner that he can improve if just learn from his error s
My teaching method is to be friendly and open to ideas. An artwork is formed out of imagination and it is not my right to control the way that imagination can be used. My job is to teach the concepts, methods of painting, different styles and ways to approach art, and of course, to provide more ideas.
Art is a very enjoyable and experimental subject. The more you enjoy what you’re doing the better the outcome and I think art lessons should be fun.
I begin at the rudimentary stages, studying forms, light and movements so that my students can grasp the fundamentals of painting
In my classes i aim on teaching students fine skills such as drawing / painting. I try to prepare young artists for upcoming exams and help them by sharing skills, practises and techniques which might prove useful.
