About Sara
Hello, I'm Sara. I'm a fine artist and art historian based in Cyprus, with a BA in Fine Art and Art History from Liverpool Hope University. My own practice centres on mixed media, installation and exhibition work, and I write about historical art, particularly how artists use light across the Christian, Islamic and Jewish traditions.
I've recently completed an MSc in Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University, and await my formal degree certificate. I also hold a Level 1 Certificate in Person-Centred Creative Arts from APCCA. Together, these give me a real understanding of how students learn, what holds them back, and how to build their confidence step by step.
I've grown up between British and Cypriot cultures, so I'm comfortable working with students from different backgrounds and value the perspectives they bring.
My lessons are friendly, well structured and tailored to each student's goals and exam requirements. I'm reliable, punctual and quick to reply, and I keep parents informed of progress.

Students often know what they like but struggle to explain why. I teach a clear method for:
- analysing artworks: composition, light, colour, symbolism and context
- evaluating their own work and other artists' work
- turning observations into strong written analysis for coursework and exams
These lessons suit GCSE and A level Art students who need stronger written analysis, History of Art students, and anyone curious about how to "read" a painting. Students of any faith or none are welcome, and I enjoy learning from students' own perspectives.
