About Noël
I have been studying art for 6 years and practicing art much longer. I am currently a junior in college at Parsons, an art and design school in New York. I am majoring in illustration and have skills with both digital and traditional media. I am good at teaching and interacting with all age groups -- I taught piano to kindergarten through third grade students over the summer at my local high school, and worked as a camp counselor teaching art and sewing skills to older students. I am currently located in Houston, TX but will be in New York part of the year for school. I am currently available to tutor online.

I approach teaching art with two main goals -- teach students critical skills for future art classes, and give them enough leeway to be creative and enjoy the art-making process. I am able to teach all ages. For younger students, I will focus on basic techniques like understanding how color and shapes can be used to express themselves. For older students, I will go more in depth about specific techniques, including figure drawing, color theory, and how to use their materials to bring out their best work.

Perfect! I really enjoyed Noël’s classes because I got to learn new techniques like shading, proportions, or perspective. It has really boosted my understanding of how to improve my art.
Noël was constantly organised and always knew what to do for the next class. She would even give assignments based off what she taught that day.
