About Hiawa

I am a kind and friendly person, who will take time and listen to the child and where they need support in their learning. I will tailor my teaching and lessons to suit the child's needs and what works best for them. I also have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and I strive to create a positive learning environment where every child feels encouraged and supported.

About the lesson

My lessons begin with questions to assess prior knowledge, followed by clear teaching of the topic. Pupils then work through practice questions with support before attempting exam-style questions.

Lessons typically last 50 minutes to 1 hour. I have been tutoring for a year, achieved an A* in GCSE Maths, and am just months away from gaining my QTS through university.

I teach children aged 5–16, adapting lessons to suit their individual needs and abilities.
