About Lara
Hi! I'm Lara, a senior-standing student at the University of Florida graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics, Physics, and Mathematics. I have been tutoring for over five years and mainly tutor mathematics. I am experienced in tutoring from the preschool level up to the college-level.
I worked at the Math Learning Center at Florida Atlantic University for two years tutoring college-level calculus, earning me my CRLA certification. I hosted office hours for students in need while also communicating with professors regarding their future lesson plans. I made exam study guides and hosted review sessions for students and helped them succeed in the course.
I worked as a Lead Instructor at Mathnasium for nearly three years. I assessed students to determine if they are on track for their grade level and gave them topics to work on based on their assessment score. I spoke with parents regarding their child's test scores and outlined a future learning plan that they would be working on for the next few months. I have instructed up to differential equations and also assist in SAT prep, as I have earned a perfect 800 in the math portion of the SAT.
I am also a teaching assistant for geometry, algebra 2, and pre-calculus at my high school and assist in making exams, assignments, and lesson plans for students while also teaching lessons to the class. I offer one-on-one tutoring for students who may need additional support.

I have tutored students from diverse backgrounds and am here for academic support. I can patiently help you through whatever you may not understand. We can start from the simple topics and slowly build up to more difficult concepts, going above and beyond what is asked.
