About Jennifer
I have a Doctor of Public Health, and have taught at university for more than 15 years, from community college to Ivy League. I have also taught high school!
There are many similarities between learners at various levels, most especially, everyone is struggling to do their best while being pulled in lots of different directions by lots of different responsibilities.
This is universal from middle school to graduate school.
Sometimes you just don't get all the information you need during a class, not just to finish an assignment, but to master a subject. That's when a tutor can make all the difference in giving you the confidence to succeed.

Lessons are designed around each student, as every student learns differently.
We begin by figuring out what you find easy, and what you have trouble with; what do you enjoy learning, and what don't you enjoy learning.
I have a distinct "zone of expertise" and I try not to work with a student whom I don't think I can help with the subject matter.
For example, trigonometry is not in my "zone of expertise," nor is geometry. But algebra and statistics are!
My "zone of genius" is in college preparation!
